Fixing blame

Editor:

Well I look at headlines and it makes me wonder. One headline read, "Discord displayed at WR council meeting."

You read the stories and then you wonder who is at fault? The Mayor or the Council. My daddy always told me that when you have two sides you get them both and then somewhere in between lays the truth. But from the actions of Mayor Chuck Shaheen and even some members of City Council I have to say to my dad, you're wrong.

The actions of the Mayor and one Councilman in particular looks to me like two kids on the playground that don't play well with others. The Mayor seems like a spoiled brat wanting everything his way or no way. Mayor Shaheen, grow up and if your feeling get hurt this easily and this bad then you should never run for elected office.

Lee should resign

Editor

Mayor Chuck Shaheen is right to ask the RDA chief to resign. Gary Lee's public dissatisfaction with the city council and his airing of grievances in a newspaper interview were not politically smart or always realistic. Mr. Lee's personal health and his letter to the mayor have all led to our mayor's request for his resignation.

Mr. Lee is obviously not a team player and the decline in his health producing obvious stress makes it imperative that he resign and get on with his life as he seeks to improve his health.
