So said Warner Robins Head Coach Bryan Way of the Demons’ opponent Friday night at Grovetown. “They got off to a slow start this year,” Way said. (For more on how and why he described them as a different type of Wing T team, click on the Download button at left.) “They were 0-3 with their non-region games but they played three quality opponents. And I think that really helped them get ready for region play.
“They’re 2-2 in the region so they’re right there in the playoff picture. So they’ve got an awful lot to play for, and I’m sure they’re going to be ready to play.
“Offensively, they’re very dangerous because they’ve got a quarterback that can score anywhere on the field,” he added. “He’s probably the fastest guy in the region in a football uniform.
“He touches it on every play on offense, so you worry about that … they’re pretty good on offense.
“Defensively, they’ve given up some plays on defense and had some trouble at times but they’ve got good looking people over there.”
