Georgia Bob's Bar-B-Que is famous here in Middle Georgia for its Southern cooking. However, many Georgia Bob's fans don't know about the vineyard right next door. Mayci McLeod took a trip to learn more about it today.

Georgia Bob's Cane River Vineyard is situated only a few paces away from Georgia Bob's Restaurant in Byron. The Vineyard grows its own Muscadine grapes for 13 signature wines. The wines are produced in another vineyard in Nashville, Georgia where they have the capacity to produce the large amount of wine Cane River sells, but the recipes used were developed at the Cane River Vineyard. Robert Evans, also known as "Georgia Bob", says this this winery is different from any other you will go to in Middle Georgia.

The Cane River Vineyard hosts Wedding Rehearsal Dinners, Fundraisers, and Date Nights. They say there is something for everyone.

The Winery says they are the "Best Kept Secret in Middle Georgia", and although they have 13 signature wines, this isn't only a spot for adults 21 and up. The vineyard is family friendly, and offers non-alcoholic drinks, such as Muscadine Cider.

The winery has many events coming up for the holidays. Starting next week, fire pits will be installed outside for customers to feel cozy with a glass of wine or a Georgia Bob's Bar-B-Que Platter. On December 1st, the Cane River Vineyard is hosting an Open House with wine tasting, games, and prizes. The owners of Cane River Vineyard hope their presence hopes draw more people to Byron.

The Peach Wine has won awards in New York and Florida... but they say it's hard to pick a favorite.

Georgia Bob's is hosting a fundraiser wine tasting event for Habitat for Humanity this Thursday in honor of Affordable Housing Month. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at hocohabitat.org.
