She adds he also had a close relationship with his 8-year-old niece.
When the Bailey family thought their world had ended, and were trying to handle the grief they best they could... they learned about Bo's Camp, a family grief camp sponsored by the Children's Hospital at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Bo's Camp took place in Macon over the weekend and allowed families to see they are not alone in the challenges of losing a loved one.
83 people attended Bo's Camp. The camp is open to children who have lost a sibling or a parent, or adults who have lost a child.
Bo's Camp cost between $15,000 and $20,000 to put on, but families didn't have to pay for anything... funds were completely covered by fundraisers from independent organizations. The camp helps families learn to deal with their grief through different activities such as a ropes course, journaling activities, and a candle memorial service.
This is the first year for Bo's Camp, but Rebecca Cogburn says the plan is to make the camp an annual event. Dana Bailey says the camp is just what her family needed to help with their grief.

May all be blessed and come away from this with a spirit of healing and caring for others.
