Sikes adds the goal is for at least 40% of Houston County students to receive the vaccination. When filling out the consent forms, parents are provided with a couple different choices for their children.
Although the injection form of the vaccine is available, most families are opting for their children to receive the mist version.
Students were moved in and out of the vaccination area so quickly, most of them didn't have time to be scared or concerned.
They did, however, understand the importance of receiving the vaccine.
The vaccines will be provided to students, teachers, and faculty at all schools in the county through November 14th.
