A consolidated, multi-agency, military recruitment job fair to find work for members of the Georgia National Guard is scheduled for Wednesday in Forsyth.

The session will begin at 10 a.m. at state offices on the Tift College Campus.

The effort is being pushed by Georgia Adjutant General Maj. Gen. Jim Butterworth.

"One guardsmen out of a job is one too many," Butterworth is quoted in a Georgia Department of Defense press release announcing the job fair.

All state-level law enforcement agencies will be represented with some 800 jobs available ranging from administrators, cook supervisors, maintenance, transportation, correctional officers, probation officers, state patrolmen to counselors, engineers, information technology, communications and public affairs.

The session will end at 2 p.m. and is part of a state-wide effort to find jobs for Georgia's National Guardsmen.
