The Houston County Bar Association has awarded Linita Berryman with the Brenda Morton Liberty Bell Award. This award is given annually to a non-lawyer who promotes an understanding of the law and respect for the court system. Ms. Berryman was presented with a plaque and her name will be displayed at the Houston County Superior Courthouse. Patriot Reporter Mayci McLeod sat down with Linita Berryman today to learn a little bit about what she does every day to earn this award.
The Rainbow House is having a fundraiser this weekend. If you attend any movie at any of the three movie theaters in town on Sunday, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Rainbow House by the Georgia Theater Company.
