Tori just got her driver's license... she enjoys gymnastics, spending time with her friends... and getting frozen yogurt.
Tori has also been battling A-L-L, or acute lymphoblastic leukemia for over a year. She is in the maintenance stages of her treatment, and comes to the Medical Center of Central Georgia monthly for chemotherapy.
Doctor Sakhalkar says teenage cancer patients usually have different concerns than younger ones. The younger ones are worried about how much treatment will hurt, while the older ones are worried about how it might affect their social lives.
Tori says the best thing that has come from her visits to the Children's Hospital, is the relationship she's developed with the staff.
Child Life Specialist, Megan McGraw, says Tori can always be found hanging out at the nurses' station.
The relationships she has developed with the child life specialists and nurses, along the care they have given her, has given Tori inspiration to pursue a career in the medical field.
