Culinary Class
Culinary Class
Sharon Alday is the Culinary Arts instructor at the Houston County Career Academy. On Saturday, the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, or FCCLA, opened the doors to the school's kitchen to adults as part of a fundraiser for the organization. During the adult class, attendees learned the finesse of various knife cuts. The culinary students participated as sous chefs, and helped teach the adults the proper technique.

Another class is coming up in November... where participants will learn recipes of French cuisine. This class, however, is already full. Because of the overwhelming interest in the Adult Culinary Classes at the Houston County Career Academy, Ms. Alday and her sous chef students are considering scheduling more classes. For more information, or to sign up for a class, contact Ms. Alday. Her email is: Sharon.Alday@hcbe.net. She adds, although the classes are predominantly attended by women, men are also welcome to attend.

The classes cost $25 to attend and capacity is limited to 20 people.
