Nine workers at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, have won a $1 million Powerball prize from the Idaho Lottery, the Associated Press reported over the weekend.

Hill is one of three Air Force depot sites along with Robins Air Force Base and Tinker Air Force Base, Okla.

All nine workers -- each winning $111,111 -- were from the 75th Medical Group. The AP said the group started an office pool in March and spent a total of $450 to win the award.

"We did a lot of research, made every one of our participants sign contracts and then everyone put in $10 once every five weeks," Michelle Allgaier is quoted in the AP report.

Most of the workers plan to invest their winnings and pay down debts, the AP determined. At least three of the workers plan a trip to Hawaii.
