“Education is one of the best investments we can make to ensure Georgia’s future prosperity,” said Sen. Staton. “As a state senator, I have worked tirelessly to champion public policy that strengthens Georgia’s education system and prepares students for the challenges of tomorrow.”
The Center for Educated Georgia’s Report Card lists current legislators' votes on major education legislation since 2007 in three areas - private school choice, public charter schools, and public school reform. According to these votes, legislators were assigned a grade in each category and accessed a final letter grade equivalent between A+ and F. Legislator's grades are available online at www.georgiafamily.org/reportcard
"We appreciate Senator Staton’s strong support for better education in Georgia and congratulate him on an A+ rating on our legislator report card," said Eric Cochling, vice-president of public policy at Georgia Family Council, the home of the Center for an Educated Georgia. "He has demonstrated a clear commitment to improving education for all of Georgia's students."
Sen. Staton also recently received an A+ Rating from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Americans for Prosperity.
