Many high school graduates still aim to attend college in the fall, they just may be going a little closer to home. According to an annual study released by student lender Sallie Mae, the amount families are spending on college dropped 5% last year. Patrick Ivey, Director of Career Services at Middle Georgia Technical College, says going to a 2 year school is a good way to save some money. Ivey adds attending a technical college like Middle Georgia before continuing on to 4 year school could save students thousands of dollars per semester.
