According to reports, Quintavias Virgil did the ultimate damage with his three-pointer with five seconds left in overtime. He also reportedly hit a trey with four seconds left in regulation to send it into the extra period.
He finished with 29 points while teammate Kavizea added 15. Malik Broughton led the Warhawks with 16. Veterans actually beat the Chargers by 27 the first time through region regulation play only to fall to them the second time. Markis Leger had 14 and Wyman Hollingshed 13.
Central will now play Westside for the region championship and to determine the No. 1 and 2 seeds at state. The Warhawks will play Howard to determine No. 3 and 4.
