Warner Robins police participating in a large regional drug bust that involved six area and federal law enforcement agencies. The investigation, which led to the arrest of half a dozen mid-state residents, resulted in the seizure of over 31 pounds of marijuana and 420 grams of cocaine, as well as thousands of dollars in cash, vehicles, and weapons. Also recovered was stolen merchandise from area retailers. The drug operation was centered in Macon, none of those arrested was from Houston County. Also involved – the Bibb County Sheriff’s Department, the Bibb County District Attorney’s Office, the Byron P.D., as well as agents from the Postal Service and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force. More arrests are expected.
