Youth Council of Delegates meeting held

The Georgia State USBC Youth Council of Delegates meeting was held July 29 in Conyers. Local honorees were as follows:

- Marge Corzine was elected a director to serve with current local members: Vice President Judy Britt and Directors Lloyd Britt and Chuck Huffman.

- Juli Odom at Gold Cup on Russell Parkway was named Coach of the Year for the state.

- Kacie Field was named Member of the Year for “supporting the youth and adult events”.

Georgia Achievement Shirts were received by:

- Kristen Gassett for a 696 series

- Brett Schildknecht for a 712 series

- Cara Stasel for a game of 257 and series of 661

- Superlatives received by area bowlers were:

Highest scores turned in for Georgia Youth.

- Kristen Gassett – Senior Division for 180 average, 266 game and 696 series.

- Jocelyn Rowler – Bantam Division for 164 game and 347 series.

Georgia state scholarship winners were:

- Kacie Field: $500 from the Georgia State Bowling Council

- Kristen Gassett - $1,000 from the Georgia State Bowling Council

- Sarah Lovelace and Victoria Lippert: $500 each from the Georgia USBC WBA

- Annmarie Tervolis: $1,000 from the Georgia State BA

A total of $ 8,750 was awarded to the youth across the state. Funds are provided by:

Georgia State USBC WBA – BA – Youth and Bowling Council; also a part of the entry fee for the Georgia State USBC Youth Tournament.
