Houston County might not have the wins, but it definitely has the respect.

“I’m very impressed with their football team,” said Warner Robins Head Coach Bryan Way on the Bears – the Demons’ opponent Friday in McConnell-Talbert Stadium (with the usual 7:30 p.m. kickoff). “You know, they’ve lost three in a row. (But) two of those games they had a legitimate chance to win, and didn’t.

“So they’re just a little bit away from being four and two instead of being two and four.

“So they’re dangerous. They always play us very tough and competitively. Like I told our kids. I’m sure they feel their backs are against the wall in terms of getting into the playoffs and getting out of the region, so I’m sure they’re going to come out swinging.”
