David Bruce

"They’ve got a good football team," Veterans Head Coach David Bruce said of Howard. The Warhawks, who picked up their first Region 2-AAAA win (1-1 in the region, 2-3 overall) this past Friday against Rutland, will be headed up to Macon to play the Huskies (0-2, 0-5) Friday at Thompson Stadium. "They lost their quarterback about the second game. They’ve got another kid that’s stepped in and done a pretty good job … Howard’s had some tough luck. There have been a couple of games they’ve had an opportunity to win, things haven’t bounced their way.

"I know they’re probably frustrated. It can be tough on you. I know how that feels … But they do a good job. You can tell they’re well-coached. They’ve just had some bad luck."
