The production is a mystery comedy and opens backstage at the Lyceum Theatre where Lily Langtree is performing.
Langtree's home has been brokin into several times by someone trying to steal her intimate letters exchanged between the actress and the Prince of Wales.
Langtree has taken them to her room at the theatre for safety but one of Moriarty's henchman sneaks up behind her and uses chlorofoam to render her unconsious and then steals the letters.
The worlds famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his partner Dr. Watson are visited by playwright Oscar Wilde and his friend Lily Langtree to save the day.
In the meantime Moriarty is blackmailing Lily by using the intimate letters to acquired a necklace that the Prince of Wales has given her.
The crime is left up to Holmes and Watson to solve.
The play then takes many exciting twists and turns.
The plays director Cathy Collins said, "I have always been a fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his writings. When I read this script that incorporated real people with characters Doyle had created it was real intriguing. To me because of that fact the story is quite enjoyable and entertaining and is a very family oriented production."
