Centerville – Steve Engle, 55, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 10, 2012.

Steve was born on June 4, 1957 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Master’s Degree and lived in the Middle Georgia Area since 1982. Steve served as the Houston County Director of Administration for twenty-three years with a total of thirty years in public service. In addition to his efforts in bettering Houston County, Steve was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, camping, and hiking. He also had a love for winemaking.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of thirty-four years, Robin Wilkie Engle, Centerville; sons, Matthew S. Engle (Jean), Lilburn, Georgia and Geoffrey R. Engle, Warner Robins; parents, Donald S. Engle and Anne F. Engle, both of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Joshua and Lily Engle; sisters, Kathy Ridgeway, Gunnison, Colorado and Deborah Harrison, Valdosta; and several loving nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private. The family will accept flowers, or donations may be given to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, GA 31201.
