The campaign will run from Oct. 15 to Nov. 23 but two charity fairs were held this week to give 60 non-profit organizations opportunity to provide information to base contributors.
The Middle Georgia CFC, which incorporates a number of federal agencies in the area, covers 17 counties and has established a contribution goal of $1.5 million this year. The Robins goal of $1.4 million accounts for most of that total.
Robins employees raised $1,570,344 last year, the 11th consecutive year the base has exceeded its annual goal.
"This year's campaign is 'Give a little. Help a lot,' Jani Le, CFC chair is quoted in a Robins press release. "That says it all."
Le said Robins support for the campaign is overwhelming.
"We will have more than 300 volunteers and they are the people who make the campaign successful year after year," Le pointed out. "I am grateful to my management for giving me the opportunity to represent my fellow employees and military members as chair of the CFC."
