Welcome to this special Halloween Edition of Patriot Sports...I'm Brandon Evans bringing you all the candy you need in the form of sports knowledge...let's get this party started.

We start with what is always one of the biggest sports stories of the year in Georgia high school football, and especially here in Warner Robins.

It's a rivalry that separates family ties, at least for a few hours. it's the annual clash of cross-town rivals - the Northside Eagles vs the Warner Robins Demons.

I had the chance to speak to both Coach Kevin Kinsler of Northside and Coach Bryan Way of Warner Robins this week about the rivalry, as well as the importance of the game this year especially.

Both teams are an undefeated 5-0 in region play and the winner of this game clinches the region crown with a win Friday night at the mac.

First, let's hear from Coach Kinsler.

Now, let's find out what Coach Way had to say.

Some say because its a rivalry game you have to throw the numbers and trends out the window, but just for all the sports fans, let's see some stats...

Both teams are averaging around 40 points per game, Northside with a slight edge offensively.

Defensively, by the numbers, the eagles have been amazing allow less than a touchdown per game. the demons are giving up on the average about two scores a game.

Last year's game was a close one with Northside winning 32-24. Warner Robins last won in 2009. although the rivalry goes way back, the Eagles have won nine times dating back to 2001.

It certainly is shaping up to be another exciting event, we'll tell you who people around the station are picking on tomorrow's Patriot Sports.

Staying with football, the college season has been a wild ride as expected, and the BCS standings are changing every week. Let's take a look at how they stand now.

BCS Standings

Rank Team Record

1 Alabama 8-0

2 Kansas State 8-0

3 Notre Dame 8-0

4 Oregon 8-0

5 LSU 7-1

6 Georgia 7-1

7 Florida 7-1

8 South Carolina 7-2

9 Florida State 8-1

10 Louisville 8-0

We'll talk more on how the BCS is shaping up and can Georgia play for a national championship if they take care of business on the field and win out...check that our as part of our Friday showdown with Craig Lawson.

And for more on high school, college, and the NFL, tune in Saturdays from 9 to 10 a.m. and check out The Sports Wrap with Leland Ragin right here on TV 38.

That's all the sports for now, hope everyone has a Happy Halloween...we'll see you back here tomorrow. I'm Brandon Evans...good night!
