Sweet Freestyle
This year, a new competition was introduced to the Fair, called "Sweet Freestyle". The 92 participants were given a bag of candy, a theme, and 30 minutes to create a sweet masterpiece. The competition was reminiscent of popular cooking television shows.
The theme for the premier year of the Sweet Freestyle competition is 'Fair Favorites', and as you can see from the lights of the Georgia National Fair, the kids had a lot of inspirations to choose from.
Although the kids had many creative ideas for what to build... they agreed it's harder than it looks.
Though it made have been challenging, Sweet Freestyle's Directors were impressed with the outcome.
They added, the even was a success and will be a permanent addition to 4-H's involvement in the Georgia National Fair.
