Julee Torrance's family started the Mossy Creek Barnyard Festival 35 years ago, when they learned there wasn't an outlet for crafters in Middle Georgia.

The Festival is all about gathering crafters with unique skills to demonstrate and sell their work.

Jo Bush and her husband, Charles, sell hand-made bird houses. The make feeders, and houses for specific aviators; such as owls, wood ducks, and bats. She says what sets Mossy Creek apart from other craft festivals is how carefully vendors are chosen.

Sandra Nichols and her husband, Paul, traveled all the way from Nebraska to participate in the festival. She says all craft vendors have a unique niche.

The Mossy Creek Barnyard Festival isn't only about arts and crafts. There will also be performances of blue grass, clogging, a magician, and storytellers on stages across the venue.

Julee Torrance says the Mossy Creek Barnyard Festival is beneficial to the Middle Georgia community.

The Mossy Creek Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm off of Lake Joy in Bonaire. The cost to attend is $5 for adults and $1 for children.
