Grandparents' Day
Although the Pre-K students didn't quite know what the exact definition of a grandparent is, they certainly knew what they like to do together.
This morning, grandparents arrived at Kings Chapel Elementary and followed the Yellow Brick Road to the auditorium for a Wizard of Oz inspired performance in honor of Grandparents' Day.
Two of Jordan's grandparents attended the performance this morning... and she says she can always count on them to be there for her. And according to her grandparents, that unconditional support is what being a grandparent is all about.
After the performance, the children enjoyed a picnic lunch with their special visitors. Zack's grandmother says whether it's eating lunch or playing Spiderman, she just loves to spend time with her grandson.
The Grandparents' Day Celebration is an annual event at Kings Chapel Elementary, and teachers say it is important to honor these grandparents.
