The School Board of Houston County met this afternoon, in the first meeting since school began this year. The Board approved the 2013 Fiscal Year millage rate and the out of county tuition for children of full time employees. They also discussed the Charter Schools Amendment which will be up for decision in the November election. Tom Walmer, Board of Education Chairman, says the Board isn't only concerned about where the funding for charter schools will come from, but how they would work in cooperation with current Houston County schools.
