The Houston County School Board met this afternoon. Board members approved architects for the Rumble Campus and for the new elementary school on Langston Road. They also approved the purchase of school revamps such as copiers totaling over $222,000 and the replacement of hallway carpet and hallway painting at some of the local schools totaling over $500,000. Here at the Patriot we have been updating you on all of the advancements with the school bus camera proposal, but that decision was pushed back at the meeting today until the October School Board Meeting. A Patriot reporter will attend that October School Board Meeting and bring us the most current information on the status of those cameras.
