In July, the state transportation department reportedly sent the county a standard contract for the mowing and maintenance of the sidewalks and right-of-way of Ga. 96 from the Houston and Peach county line all the way to Old Hawkinsville Road. hwy 96 is currently being widened and this contract would go in effect once that project is complete.
There were reportedly concerns about the wording of the contract, which including liability issues and the cost of the project.
During the meeting, the commissioners also reviewed several special exception applications.
