Former Atlanta Brave Otis Nixon will be in Warner Robins Sept. 22 to host a MVP baseball camp fundraiser for the Warner Robins National League.

Registration for the camp is $75, $15 of which, Camp Director Dan Everett said, goes to WRNL. The cost covers an which covers an all day camp at Simpson Park with Nixon, lunch, scrimmage – Nixon, Everett said, will be doing all the pitching for - and an autograph. The camp is for all players ages 6-15 and, according to Everett, will focus on agility training, batting mechanics, simulated game situations, as well as role modeling and leadership.

Nixon is a 17-year major league veteran who had more than 1,300 hits and 600 stolen bases in the major leagues.

After retirement, Nixon began On-Track Ministries and is a motivational speaker - sharing his story of overcoming addictions. Registration will be limited to only 75 spots so, Everett said, each player gets individual training from the athletes and coaches.

You can register online at www.everettsm.com or by calling Rachel Rudolf at 864-350-1222.
